A clash of cultures arises when different traditions, beliefs, and values meet in tension. It can spark misunderstanding, conflict, or resistance as each side struggles to assert its identity. This assemblage of found items depicts the clash as a game. It’s your move.
The wooden chessboard and the ceramic figurines were discovered at a local thrift store. The image was printed on archival paper. The board and paper were coded with UV resistant polyurethane. Titled and signed on the bottom.
